...your personal designer

Why?

I am finding an increasing number of small to medium businesses who, while they cannot justify a full time designer, need a regular, consistent web or graphic design presence.

A part-time designer gives them the consistency, easy access and professional approach they require, at affordable rates compared to normal 'individual' engagements.

My Experience

  • I have worked for small, medium and large companies over the last 20 years, in roles as diverse as sales, marketing, accounting, management, purchasing(local and international), importing, warehouse, product development and IT.
  • I am a creative, practical, lateral thinker with a perfectionist streak.
  • I class my Adobe application(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat PRO, Encore, Premiere) experience at a medium, confident level. These applications have HUGE functionality that I tap as required, and find anything I do not know or cannot do can be quickly and easily learnt.
  • I subscribe to a number of IT & design publications including Before & After Magazine(design), Desktop: (design) & InDesign(Adobe InDesign) as aides to expand my practical abilities and keep up-to-date with the IT world.
  • I have good XHTML and CSS abilities, and quite reasonable PHP, MYSQL and JavaScript abilities. Most of the latter 3 has been gained modifying Joomla Components, Modules and Plugins.
I am currently working my way through the CodeIgnitor PHP5 Web Framework as methods of rapidly deploying powerful custom web applications.
